Fin and Feather is a new take on what has been Fishing Camp for the past several years. Not only will the campers receive training on everything fishing, this year they will also learn to properly handle and shoot bows. There will still be ALOT of time for fishing as well as ALOT of time for practicing archery. Campers will need to provide a working rod/reel and a tackle box with basic items, bow/arrows may be brought but are not mandatory as Bond Camp has several that can be used.
Bicycling Camp has returned! Tim Kelly and Dee Armes from Greenville FCC will be leading this exciting week where the campers will be riding 15 or so miles each day on the paved bike trails in Bond, Clinton and Madison counties. In addition to strong Bible teaching and worship this week will include enjoying the majesty of God's creation as they ride. Each camper will need to provide a "multi-speed" bicycle in ready to ride condition.
Horseback Camp is one of the favorite specialty weeks summer after summer. Annette Donaldson, Liz Bayes and their team of wranglers will once again work with the first 24 campers to get signed up for this week. Campers will learn all about horses and their equipment as well as get some riding experience. All campers must be 12 years of age prior to the beginning of this week per camp insurance.
MAD Camp (Music/Art/Drama) is a really special week! During this camp the participants will work together to learn a musical, build a set and prepare to go on a weekend tour. This camp is open to all levels of talent and challenges campers to use their God given abilities to glorify the Creator. This week is led by Ryan Wisnasky of Copper Creek Christian Church in Maryville and Ben Allen from Greenville FCC.
Adventure Camp is a brand new week this summer at Bond Camp. Campers will travel to the Great Smokey Mountains and stay in a cabin. After breakfast each day the campers will either hike on the Appalachian Trail and explore other adventures before returning to the cabin for Supper and a time of Worship and Teaching each evening. This camp is limited to the first 12 campers to register and the week will begin on Monday at 9:00am and end on Saturday evening (exact time to be updated as the day nears). Jeff Chamberlain of Copper Creek Christian Church as well as Kara Quick of Bond Camp and Greenville FCC & St. Elmo CC will be leading this adventure.
High School is one of our largest camp programs and is the highlight of the summer for the many teenagers who attend. Oftentimes life long friendships are formed and futures are planned as campers listen to God's Will for their lives. Everyone who attends this week is changed for the better and leaves knowing God better than when they came. Brandon Atkinson from Northside Christian Church in Vandalia leads this week along with Erin Klug from Copper Creek Christian Church and Todd Sorgea from Wood River FCC.
